Born February 23, 1926 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Henry and Isabell (Richie) Adler, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, at age 88. Henry was a veteran of WWII where he served in the United States Marine Corps. For most of his life, Henry worked as a Pipefitter at Oldsmobile. He retired in 1987 after 40 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle.
He is preceded in death by his brothers: George and John Adler. He is survived by his wife Janice (Smith), and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage. He is also survived by his 2 children: Tamela (Rodney) Deter and Brian (Lisa) Adler; 5 grandchildren: Kristen (Roger) Cole, Melanie Adler, Julia Deter, Tricia Deter and Daniel (Sarah) Deter; 2 great grandchildren: Drake Cole and Lilyana Deter; a sister, Dorothy LeVan; a sister in law, Maxine Adler; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11:00AM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw with Pastor Doug Phillips of South Church and Pastor John Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Delta Center Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, 5-8pm at the funeral home.
