Howard Dart Obituary

Bud Dart Holt Born Howard Francis Dart, on April 21, 1921 in Grand Rapids, MI, the 3rd son of 7 children to Frank & Dorothy (Huhn) Dart, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at Stoneleigh Residence Hospice due to complications from Diabetes. Bud grew up on Miller Road and attended Holt Public Schools. He was the founder of Holt Dairy and finished his Sales career after 30 years with Star Kist Foods. Bud is preceded in death by 4 siblings: Richard, Eugene, John Dart & Margaret Hope. Surviving is his wife Mae, of 68 years, 3 children: Mary Ellen Dart, James (Greta) and Jack (Judy) Dart, 7 grandchildren: David, Steven, Marcie, Jeffrey, Jillian, Emily and Johanna, 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Alice Smith and Betty Marsh and many loving nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Byers as celebrant. Rite of committal will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is Friday 2-4 and 6-8p.m. at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Holt Delhi Chapel, 5035 Holt Rd where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hospice of Lansing or the Holy Spirit Oratory Chapel - IHM in memory of Bud. Condolences can be made at www.palmerbush.com.

Dear Family of "Bud Dart",
I want to express my heart felt synpathy for you at this time. I will always remember Bud in his wheelchair when the came to my husband's funeral in June of 2005, May you find solace from your friends and family.
