Irene Foster Obituary

Irene D. Foster Williamston Born February 18, 1914, the daughter of Edwin and Nellie (Parker) White in Detroit, Michigan. Irene D. Foster died June 12, 2010 at the age of 96. Irene worked within the Farm Recording Keeping Service of Michigan State University for 25 years and enjoyed traveling and baking. Irene and Larry enjoyed and had a second home over a forty year period at Houghton Lake. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; husband, Lawrence Calvin Foster; daughter, Shirley (Foster) Graham; son-in-law, Thomas O. Graham; grandsons, Larry and Jim Graham; and great-grandson, Chris Graham. She is survived by granddaughters, Patty (Tom) Enfield, Jan (Fred) Northrup, Nancy Graham and Martha (David) Smalley; grandsons, Mark (Sherrie) Graham, Gene Graham (Ed McDonald) and Will (Stephanie) Graham; 17 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Patricia J. Graham. A gift of Human Anatomy at Michigan State University has taken place and no memorial services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Mission of Mercy Cameroon Africa fbo Becky Broughton, First Assembly of God, 2717 West Road, East Lansing, MI 48823 (A healthcare ministry). The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI. Online condolences may be sent at www.gorslineruncimaneastlansing.com
