James J. McCarthy DeWitt James J. McCarthy went to be with our Lord on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the age of 16. He was born December 3, 1995 to adoring parents, Douglas and Sharon (Strong) McCarthy. James was a sophomore at St. Johns High School and a member of the St. Johns High School Swim Team. He attended Rivers Edge Community Church. James had many interests. He was artistic. He loved photography and took beautiful pictures. He played guitar. James was a "techy". He could do anything on the computer and like most boys his age was addicted to video games.
