Eileen,
So sorry for your deep loss. I've had you on my mind so much. I wasn't made aware of Jim's passing, so I didn't make his memorial service. I know we will have lots of times for hugs though as I see you in church, and my arms will always be open for one, any time you need or want one. I love you both and appreciate the teaching Jim provided while I was learning to be single again. He was wise, and fun and a great teacher and you both became great friends and respected leaders in my life. God bless you and comfort you, as only He can.
Love ya', Vanessa Sepeter

Dear Eileen and Shelley,
Jim's love for Jesus, for studying God's word and then living it out was contagious. We enjoyed watching play the large bells at South. He was an example of passionate, intentional Christ like living. He was a great leader with a true servant's heart and we know that he loved you both dearly.
WIth sympathy and prayers,

Eileen,
I'm so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. Although I didn't know him, he sounds like a very interesting person. Sorry I didn't meet him.
It sounds like he is in a better place, so that is a good thing.
Take good care of yourself. Try to eat and sleep. I'll pray for you and your family.
I won't be able to make it to Lansing for the viewing or funeral. The next time I see you will probably be at bell boot camp.
Hugs, Comfort, and Love to you,

Dear Eileen and Shelley,
It has been so much fun getting the Sunday School printouts from my mom, Alice Rogers, and reading them. Once, Jim emailed me a whole set. It would be great to see them in a book!
Thank you for your stand for Jesus and His Love. May John 14:18-19 comfort you, 'I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.'
Sincerely,
Candace and John Suriano

Bruce and I were so very saddened to hear about Jim. Our hearts and prayers go out to both you, Eileen, and Shelley. I had the privilege of working for Jim in OQA for many years. Jim was always a man of integrity and honesty. I always enjoyed his sense of humor which he delivered with a twinkle in his eye. What a what wonderful reunion we will all share one day when we meet our Savior face to face!

Eileen & family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's sudden change of residence. Seems like just a few weeks ago we saw you at Christy's. It was actually one or two years ago, wasn't it? He was always so positive and solid in his approach to issues. Calm. No sweat. And sweet, too. He will be missed by us all. My prayers go out to you and Shelley.

I am very sad to learn of Jim's passing. His contributions to the establishment of the DSS quality assurance program can never be overstated. It was literally from the ground up. Jim's professionalism and integrity were just two of his many outstanding qualities. I was privileged to work closely with him for a number of years.
I also enjoyed many years of bowling. It was great fun.
Eileen, you have my sympathy and very best wishes.

Dear Eileen and family,
Jim's life epitomizes that of the "good servant." His intellect, ethics, skill and concern for the families and citizens of Michigan was highly regarded in the evaluation and design of programs serving the neediest of Michigan's families, children and adults. It was a pleasure and honor to have been associated with him.

Eileen, I was very sad to read of the passing of your husband What a great testimony his life is, and it is hard to lose them, but he out ran us all in this race of life, and the Lord took him home. I went to school with you at Eastern, and my daughter and son in law go to South, Dave and Kelli Dowling. I visited South a couple of times and had seen you there and told Kelli that I remembered you from school. My name is Janice Carr-Beals. Once again I am very sorry for you loss, but we will all meet again one day, and hopefully soon.
