Jeanne Bowerman Obituary

Jeanne M. Bowerman East Lansing Born December 9, 1921 to Leo and Kathryn (Wheaton) Walker, Jeanne M. Bowerman died September 23, 2009 at the age of 87. She was a lifelong resident of East Lansing. She was a graduate of Lansing Central High School, class of 1939. On December 26, 1942, Jeanne married Stuart M. Bowerman. She worked as a sales clerk for 20 years at Maurices, and was a lifetime member of the St. Lawrence Auxillary. A former member of Walnut Hills Country Club, she was also a member of Peoples Church in East Lansing. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Kathryn Walker, and brother, Jack Walker. She is survived by her husband; daughters, Jo Anne Pier of New York, New York, and Janeene; 2 nephews, Bill (Maria) Bowerman and Doug (Judy) Bowerman; one niece, Linda (Bill) Fowler; four great nieces and one great nephew. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 25, 2009 at 12:00 noon at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Capitol Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI 48906 in memory of Jeanne. Online condolences may be made at www.gorslineruncimanfuneralhomes.com
