Ruth, Kim,Robin,Lori and Family

I saw Jim at the Sandwich Hamfest in early May and we had a nice visit. I always appreciated Jim's help with our Radio Club equipment repairs. Also fixing our Mustang and home airconditioning. I always looked forward to seeing Jim and Ray at the Dayton, Ohio Hamvention every year. Even though we still live a block north of your old house in Glendale Heights, I enjoyed coming out to the house in Belvedere and Davis so Jim could help me with the Mustang and I could help with Ham Radio and TV repairs. I will really miss seeing Jim at all those Hamfests. 73 Jim you are SK now but not forgotten.

My condolences to Ruth Ann, Kim, Robin, Lori & their families, & Lewy & Gail on the passing of "Mickey" - such a good, kind, funny guy. It is a blessing Jim is no longer suffering - your family now has a new angel in heaven looking down on you.

I am so grateful Jim & Ruth, along with Ron & Mary Lou, were able to come to Lewy's 65th Surprise Birthday Party in 2006 in McComb, MS. It was a wonderful little reunion of the siblings - Mary Lou, Jim & Lewis - and I was honored to have the opportunity to spend some time with them.

It's ironic to be sending this email as Jim was the "KING" of emails. My inbox will never be the same without all the jokes, tales, words of wisdom, stories, etc. that Jim would share with so many of us. I don't know where in the world he found so many but he loved sharing his email treasures and I enjoyed receiving them.

May He Rest In Peace!

God Bless!

I have such great memories of being around 8 or 9 years old and getting rides on Jim and Louie's Cushman scooter. Year's later, I had Honda and finally BMW motorcycles, all because of the rides from the Ryder brothers. The Ryder's were such great neighbors. My thoughts are with your family.
