My deepest sympathies to all of the family. I remember hanging out at your house as a kid so many years ago and how much fun we had. Be well

I am still in shock that the woman who raised me to be waay more than many expected me to be is gone.
My Mom was my rock, she taught me so many things in life. Not only the usual things, but that I could achieve whatever I wanted.
In recent years I tried to turn the tables and be her rock. But she said (even though I was a good nurse when she beat cancer a few years ago) that she was ok.
Mom was always ok, even when she really wasn't.
My only solice in all this is that she didn't have to be an invalid. Mom would've hated that.
I miss her so much and I know many others do as well.
I do know that she would like it if all her loved ones remember her fondly and share those memories.
Mom would especially love it if those she loved would celebrate her life and not grieve her leaving.
My Mom will always be with me. I hear her still in the times between sleep and waking.
Mom's hugs were the best Josh, you are right.
I feel saddest for Nicholas and Lucas, her great grandsons.
Nick remembers GG and is worried where she'll sleep in Heaven. He concluded that God would share his couch with her.
My mother is not gone, she is just on her next new adventure.
I hope some day to join her on her new adventure, but she'll probably want me to feel like a tourist, sorry inside joke.

I can not explain how much I will miss my grandmothers presence in my life. She was the most optimistic and caring person anyone could ever wish to know and love. I miss her dearly and always will. My future children will hear about the great things she has done for this world and my family.
I can't even begin to describe what I would sacrifice to embrace her in my arms again as her hugs were THE best any grandson could experience.
I am glad to know that she has touched so many throughout her life. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and sympathy. Joan loved you all so much, as we did her. She will ALWAYS be missed in my heart.

Joan was a smiling face in our neighborhood and loved to share her flowers with anyone who wanted them. She will be remembered when we neighbors enjoy those flowers blooming in our own yards.

Joan brought so much enthusiasm, fun, and joy to the children at Unity of Greater Lansing over the years, including our two daughters. Each one felt special in her loving arms. She showed her support to countless kids. Even as little as a month ago, at a chance meeting at market, she still carried our daughter's senior picture in her wallet. Joan was a trusted friend, a beam of light wherever she went. We remember her with love.
Our prayers go out to her family and friends at this very sad time.

Joan taught with me at Attwood Elem. I remember fondly the times we spent at Third Grade Camp with our students. Her continued support of the Ebersole Center was commendable. My heart goes out to her family during this time of great sadness.

The Bunch family has many fond memories of Joan with birthday parties and picnics with our children when they were young, as well as a warm friendship. Our hearts are sad at her loss, and grateful for the gift of her presence in our lives.

To all of Joan's family, please know that the thoughts and prayers of so many are with you all at this most difficult time ... especially, do we extend deepest sympathy to Josh, the 'Golden Boy' of all of us who know and love him, and know we can't replace a grandmother as devoted as Joan, but that we will always be here for you as well as all of your family. To know Joan was to love her, she was a very special and wonderful lady ... and was a joy to all who knew her. With deepest love and sympathy, Keith and JoAnn Wallace.

I will miss Joan. I saw her and talked with her when I picked up Shaklee supplies at Dick and Carol's house. She was always bright and cheerful and more then happy to help out a fellow Shaklee person.
I will miss Joan's smile, but my memories of her will keep me smiling forever.
May God walk with you and comfort you during this time of sorrow.

Mrs. Vercruysse was my second grade teacher at North school in Lansing, many years ago. I remember that she was always happy and loved music which she shared with her students. In fact I can probably still "sing" some of those tunes today.
Over the years I would run into Mrs. V in the neighborhood (well Meijers) and we would share stories and catch up.
She was an inspiration!
My condolences to her entire family. She will be missed.

I will remember Joan as a dedicated and caring teacher. I worked with her at Moores Park for 10 years and was impressed with her patience and professionalism. When I transfered to Averill I still had the priviledge to work with her as a grandparent to our special Joshua. I am sorry we lost her so soon but she will be in our memory forever.
