John Gorski Obituary

John "Jack" Gorski Passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the age of 70. Jack was born on March 20, 1940 to Walter and Louise (Robarge) Gorski in Alpena, Michigan. Jack attended Alpena Catholic Central High School and graduated in 1959, he was active in athletics, lettering in basketball, baseball, and football. After graduating he served 2 years in the National Guard. Upon completing his military duties he moved to Eaton Rapids and started working for General Motors, where he retired. Jack loved U of M athletics, and vacationing to Jamaica. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; June Szymanski, and Jane Gorski. Jack leaves behind his wife Sue (Ewing) Gorski, sons; Pat (Clare) Gorski, Mike (Kelly) Gorski, Tony Gorski, Daughter; Nichole (Ben) Shirey, seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. The family will be receiving friends at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Jack.
