Josephine (Covello) Prano-Panko Delta Twp. Born August 19, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rosalia (Merendino) Covello, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Lansing at age 95. Josephine lived most of her life in Detroit. She retired as a Sales Clerk at Montgomery Wards. For the past 15 years, she lived in Delta Township. She enjoyed playing bingo, sewing and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and the Italian American Club of Lansing. She is preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore Prano in 1975. Surviving is her daughter Rose (Vito) Cicinelli, 3 grandchildren: Lisa (James) Fox, Laurie Cicinelli and fiance Matt Kulhanek and Joseph (Kelli) Cicinelli, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will celebrated Friday at 11:00AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Bill Lugger as celebrant. Rite of committal will be Monday, July 29, 2013 in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit, MI. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation continues Friday at the church beginning at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Casimir Catholic Church or Mother Teresa House in memory of Josephine.
