Joyce Cogswell Obituary

Joyce M. Cogswell DeWitt Born March 11, 1919 to Clyde and Hattie (Sypher) Chadwick, in DeWitt, MI, passed away October 27, 2010 at the age of 91. Joyce retired from the State of Michigan after many years of service. She also worked at Sears in the personnel department. Spending time with her precious family gave her the greatest joy. Surviving are daughter, Carolyn (Billy) Crego; son, Rex (Joyce) Hoover; 4 grandchildren, Norman (Rose) Hoover, Kim (Jeffrey) Stevens, Kris (Tim) Palmer, Mark (Spring) Hoover; 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Verne Summers officiating. Interment will follow in Wilsey Cemetery in DeWitt. The family will receive friends at the DeWitt Chapel on Friday, October 29, from 6-8 p.m. For those desiring, contributions made be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, P.O. Carolyn and family: I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I have thought of her often over the years. We had some good times while working together at Disability Determination. I agree, her family was her greatest joy and she so looked forward to retirement and spending more time with all of you. I am sure you all carry many happy memories of her in your hearts. Mary A.
