Kenneth Dyer

Kenneth Dyer Lansing Our Lord has called another loving soul to cross over into heaven on September 4, 2009. Age 90, born September 12, 1918 to Hazel E. (Godfry) Kesler who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his step-father, Arthur Kesler and brother, Donald. Mr. Dyer served in WWII from 1943 to 1946. He retired from Fisher Body in 1974. A devoted member of Capital City Church of God for 35 years and known to many as the best coffee maker at Riches Country Store. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Viva (Young) Dyer; son, Terry Dyer (Rose Frederick); daughter-in-law, Joanne Dyer; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly (Joe) Bennett, Karla (Joe) Forquer, Kevin Dyer and Karen (Jerry) Helsper; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 and 1 on the way great-greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2009 1:00 p.m. at Capital City Church of God, 6228 Bishop, Lansing with Pastor Dan Stoneham officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Friends desiring may make contributions to Sparrow Home Hospice in memory of Mr. Dyer.
