Don, I am so sorry. Mary waited to tell me until I was back from a trip. I am so glad to have known Laurel. Even though I have seen so little of you for years, when I did, she had all the life and sparkle that I knew so well.

Don,
Thru time we've drifted apart since the day when I was best man at your wedding all those years ago; but both you and Laurel have always been firmly planted in my thoughts and heart. I knew the two of you as awestruck teenagers and had the pleasure of watching the seed of your romance blossom and grow. Throughout life I was always inspired by the abundance of eternal love you displayed for each other.
Know that I share in your family's grief and offer my simple memory as a lifelong friend. May God bless.

Don and family,
Stan is on a multi-week canoe trip so I am writing in his stead to tell you what you already know -- what a special, dear person Laurel was. I know she and Stan were buddies long before they were named most courteous girl and boy of the GLHS Class of 1966. Laurel's courtesy was deeply rooted: it came from genuinely caring about people.
Our hearts go out to you as you deal with this very difficult loss.

Don, Debbie and Dean: My heart goes out to you and know that you're in my prayers. Laurel's infectious smile and laugh will always be remembered!
Love,
