Lois King Obituary

Lois E. King Novi Formerly of Haslett. Born May 31, 1936, in Lakeview, MI, the daughter of Donald Keith and Lela May (Shelley) Bollinger, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 in Novi, MI. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert R. King. Surviving are daughter, Robin (James) Sneeringer of Wixom; and a son, Robert (Jennifer) King of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer and Michelle Sneeringer; brother, Jerry (Kay) Bollinger; and a sister, Janice Farley. Lois was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church, and was an active supporter of Toys for Tots. She enjoyed gardening, loved animals, and spending time in nature. Lois enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was very loving towards everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 5491 Zimmer Rd., Williamston, MI, on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at 12:00 noon, with the Rev. Brian Rafferty officiating. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Okemos. There will be visitation at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI, on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48906, or Alzheimer's Association, 5303 S. Cedar St., Bldg. 1, Lansing, MI 48910.

Our deepest symapthy to Robin and Bob. Lois was married to our cousin Bobby. We still have memories of them and they are in our hearts.

We are saddend by the death of Lois,
even though we were not in contact with her over the years she was still in out hearts and thoughts.
