LOIS DICK Obituary

Lois Goldie (Tyler) Dick On July 6, 2010 Lois Dick, age 83, recently of Houston, TX but a life-long resident of Grand Ledge, joined her parents Gaylord and Goldie (Betz) Tyler, her husband Robert L. (Larry) Dick and son Randy D. Dick in eternal peaceful rest. Lois is survived by her sons Larry David and his wife Jean of Cypress, TX, Dennis and his wife Diane, and Robert and his wife Maxine, all of Grand Ledge. She is also survived by her brother Boyd Tyler and his wife Merle of Grand Ledge, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Lois was born in Wacousta, MI on November 6, 1926 but moved to Grand Ledge at a very young age. She graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 1943 and immediately started her career as a legal secretary at Auto Owner's Insurance Company in Lansing. She enjoyed her work and missed it after her retirement. She loved to sing and dance and she really enjoyed performing in the Grand Ledge Follies for many years. She also looked forward to December every year when she would be a part of the Holiday Wishes program. Lois was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed playing whenever she had the opportunity. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633.

Dear Larry and Jean,
I didn't have the pleasure of knowing your mother but I do know she raised a wonderful son (and more). It takes someone special to raise good kids and to be so loved. I know you will miss her but memories of the good times with her will bring joy to you forever.
Love,
Cindy Dodge

I had the wonderful pleasure of being a home health aide for Lois and Larry about 12 years ago. They were wonderful people. I am saddened by this news. God bless your family.
