Marion Bennett Williamston Marion Elizabeth Bennett was born on November 30, 1917, and went to her heavenly home December 16, 2012, at the age of 95. Marion was the daughter of Emil and Mary (Merignac) Haas. If you knew Marion, you couldn't help but love her. She enjoyed a long career at Barrett's Men's Store, retiring from there on her 88th birthday. Marion was a member of the Wallace Nutting Collectors Club, loved dogs and watching birds. In her younger years she loved hunting and fishing with her family. Marion was very humble and devout, a loving mother, who adored her children and grand children. Marion was preceded in death by her husband; Estel Bennett, granddaughter, Janice Rumberger, and very special friend and boss, Tom Mitchell. She is survived by daughter; Sue (David) Rumberger of Tecumseh, sons; David (Judy) Bennett of Silverwood, MI, Willis (Sue) Bennett of Lansing, MI, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St. Williamston on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11 a.m. December 20, 2012 at St Mary Catholic Church, 157 High St. Williamston, MI, with the Rev. Peter J. Clark, officiating. The Rite of Committal will be held following the Funeral Mass at Bethany Cemetery, Morrice, MI.
