Marjorie Louise Haviland

Marjorie Louise Haviland Haslett Born August 4, 1924; Marjorie Louise Haviland died September 28, 2009 at the age of 85. She was the daughter of the late Ernst and Dorothy Bogert. Marjorie was the Victory Queen for the City of Lansing in 1946 following WWII. She also enjoyed square dancing and was a member of Shindiggers Square Dance Club, as well as a life member of the Meridian Garden Club and a member of the Club 20 Ladies Group. Marjorie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard "Dick" Haviland. She is also survived by her daughters, Lori (John) Kelley, and Jody (Warren) Kimble both of Haslett; sons, James (Sherry McNally) Haviland of Mt. Morris and Richard C. (Lisa) Haviland of Haslett; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ruth Brown (Myron) of East Lansing. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 2, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing with the Rev. Stephen Ezop officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Michigan /Great Lakes Chapter, 310 N.
