Dear Goldammer Family,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of your loss. Mark was a wonderful neighbor to my parents and was especially thoughtful and helpful after my father died 2 years ago. He will be sorely missed by my family and by the whole neighborhood. His presence there made it a safer and more friendly place.
With gratitude and sincere condolences,
Tammy Baker Moeller

My family and I have had the honor of knowing Mark for the last five years since we moved down the street from him on Amber Drive. From day one my wife and I noticed that Mark was not your average neighbor. We’d see Mark everywhere. Regardless of the time of day or season Mark was always doing something to help someone else in the neighborhood. Tree-trimming, helping with lawn care, snow plowing… you name it he did it. In today’s hurried lifestyle, being a good neighbor is sadly not as common as it once was- yet Mark was one of the best neighbors we’ve ever known. Mark was proud of his neighborhood and genuinely cared for those who lived around him. Seeing Mark driving his red truck by the house once or twice a day was a comforting thing. We knew that Mark was taking the time to go around the neighborhood to make sure that everything was as it should be. He was, in a way, the guardian of the community. Despite all of the selfless deeds Mark did for our neighborhood, the one thing my wife and I will miss the most was the simplest act of all, that being his wave. Every time we would drive by Mark’s house, he would wave and we’d wave back. He didn’t wave out of a sense of obligation; Mark waved because he meant it. That is something we will always remember and eternally value.
In this time of grief, we wish your family comfort.

Dear Vicki and family,
I was so very sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I used to look forward to his calls when I was up north because we would each talk about our families. He was always a bright spot in my day. What a kind man he was. Keep all of your good memories close to your heart. They will become a "soothing energy" visited very frequently. My thoughts and prayers are with you everyday especially when you are alone.

Dear Vicki and family, It is with great sadness that I saw the passing of Mark. I was one of his fellow security officers at GM and also at Pinkerton, until Mark was able be hired back into GM. I also worked with Mark when he was in LCA Body Plant Health and Safety department. I enjoyed palying softball with Mark back in the early 80's and will always remember the sound of his big feet as he called for, and caught a fly ball. I was always thankful that we never ran into each other. I have many other fond memories, but wanted to share a few with you. God bless you during this time of mourning and I will be praying for you and the family. Marks friend Robert Showerman...

Dear Vicky, Lori, Monica and Scott, we are heartbroken to hear about the loss of your husband and father. He had such a big influence on our family and our neighborhood. We enjoyed hearing all of his stories from the "good old days", and we always felt safer with his watchful eye on things. We love you all, and we have you in our thoughts. The Naughton Family

Goldammer Family: The Conrad family is shocked and saddened to learn of Mark's passing. Please accept our condolences, love and prayers. I will always cherish and find great joy in the fun we had at the cottage in Baldwin, the fishing, the hanging out together and yes, even cutting down those big trees and brush. Mark always was willing and eager to help, and brought a love to all he did. My Dad and Mom still speak of the fun Mark and Scott had with them over the dog gone squirrel getting into the Conrad cottage and tearing things up. Mark's smile and joy will be missed, but he is easily seen in the faces of his entire family and the love and joy clearly shows. May our thoughts and prayers, may your family's love and joy help carry and support you now and forever. Tom Conrad on behalf of the Conrad Family in Reed City

Dear Vicki and family,
It is with great sadness that we hear of Mark's passing. He (and your whole family) were such great neighbors to us during our 7 years in the neighborhood. I distinctly remember Mark helping Jeff cut down that huge pine tree in our backyard (hence his love of landscaping) and his willingness to help out in anyway. He truly will be missed. Please keep in touch. We are all thinking of you and wish we could be there for you!
