Martin Jankoviak Obituary

Martin Paul Jankoviak Dimondale Born September 24, 1958 to Paul R. and Dorothy L. (Kapcia) Jankoviak in Lansing, MI; died May 10, 2010 in Dimondale, MI. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Martin served from 1976 to 1981 in Key West, FL and Keflavik, Iceland. Marty was a loyal friend with an artistic nature he satisfied with his skilled work as a brick mason for Bashore-Marco Masonry. He also enjoyed singing and playing bass in The Generation Gap, a band formed by his late father-in-law, Tracy Halsey. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Terri (Halsey) Jankoviak; son, Matthew Paul Jankoviak; parents, Paul and ,Dorothy Jankoviak; mother-in-law Jeanne Halsey; sisters, Sue (Dale) Glynn, Sandy (the late Dr. Joe) Westwood, Sherry (Tim) Bashore; brothers, Mike (Cherie) Jankoviak and Mark Jankoviak; and many nieces and nephews. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home in Lansing, MI. Services will be held Thursday, May 20th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. William R. Lugger officiating, and visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Avenue, Lansing, MI 48906, or a charity of choice.
