Mary McConnell Obituary

Mary Lynn McConnell Lansing Passed away September 5, 2009. Lynn was born in Lansing, Michigan, to the late Richard L. McConnell and Ruth A. Halbert on March 6, 1935. She was a graduate of Eastern High School Class of 1953 and worked most of her adult life as a waitress in the Condado Beach resort area of Puerto Rico. Her passions included writing, astrology and palmistry. Lynn is survived by her daughter Janalynn (John Osborn) Martens of Grand Ledge; grandchildren, Kurt (Jr.), Crystal, Erik and Michael Martens, as well as Nicholas Osborn; 7 great-grandchildren; and special friend Jerry Lindemann. She was predeceased by her son Kurt C. Martens, Sr., in 1984. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 11, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with the Rev. Kent Lederer of Unity Church of Greater Lansing, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 6-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice Services Sparrow Foundation - Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, P.O.
