MaryAnnette Hoatlin Obituary

MaryAnnette Rose Hoatlin Novi, formerly of Lansing Age 71, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009. MaryAnnette was born June 21, 1938 in Warren, OH. She retired from the Lansing School District after more than 25 years of service as a teacher's aide. She volunteered her time at St. Casimir Parish and was a member of the Women's Circle. MaryAnnette was a huge sports fan and avidly followed the Spartans, Notre Dame and Tiger Woods. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas M. Hoatlin, Sr. in 2004, mother, Bernadine T. Quinlan in 1984, brother, Daniel Quinlan in 1985. Surviving are her 4 children, Debbie (Michael) Hoatlin-Dunn, Beth (Doug) Reid, Kathleen (Dr. Tim) Mayotte and Tom (Shari) Hoatlin; 7 grandchildren, Erin, Emily and Mary; Dan, MaryGrace, Anna, Laney Jo; brother, Michael (Joan) Quinlin; sister, Kathy (Frank) Harmon; brother-in-law, Terry (Barb) Hoatlin; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends at Walton Woods in Novi. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Gerard Parish, Lansing, with Rev. Fr. John Klein as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 520 E. Mt. Hope Ave., Lansing, and Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living, 3941 Research Park Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48108 in memory of MaryAnnette.
