Mike was a wonderful man; witty, sincere, insightfull, cheerful, dedicated. He was just a fun person to be around. He had a light hearted way of looking at things. He had such a positive attitude, good sense of humor and genuine concern for others. His laugh was contagious. He brought so much happiness to this world. I will miss him so very much.

We send our love to the entire family. We are so grateful for the time we had with Uncle Mike this summer, and for the support he received from Jan, especially. He was happy and seemed to be at peace with what lay ahead. While we are sad to lose him, we rest easy knowing he is with God and that he died knowing he had been truely loved.

As homeroom friends for six years at both Eastern and junior high, Mike had an interesting and sincere approach to life. We last saw each other and talked extensively at Ingham Medical, where my dad was hospitalized for the last time,in 2004. Never one to hide is feelings and observations, Mike's candidness was very much appreciated. Time to say goodbye to a friend......

I had the pleasure of knowing Mike and Jan through their work in the Lansing Chapter of the Brain Injury Association of MI. Mike was a wonderful person and will be missed by many. His dedication to service was an inspiration and I'm blessed to have known him.
