Norma E. Claeys

Norma E. Claeys Middleton Age 78, passed away at her home, with her family surrounding her, on Friday, December 24, 2010. She was born on April 27, 1932 in Fowler to Herman and Mira (Sims) Myers. On January 16, 1952, Norma married Perry Claeys in Ovid. She and her husband formerly owned and operated the Middleton Diner and the Perrinton Hardware. Norma was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, hunting and most of all, spending time with her family. Norma is survived by; her husband, Perry: her daughter, Debbie (Bob) Brown of Davisburg: her son, Michael Claeys of Benton Harbor: two grandsons, Michael Perry Claeys and Kris (Lania) Brown: one granddaughter, Stacie (Dan) Little and 6 great-grandchildren: 11 brothers and sisters, Eloise Brown of Genoa, Nebraska; Jack (Maxine) Myers of Fowler; Richard Myers of Los Angeles, California; Gerald (Nancy) Myers of St. Johns; Fay (Richard) Schmitz of Fowler; Charles Ray (Phyllis) Myers of Westphalia; Susan (Tom) George of Saranac; Mark Myers of Fowler; Alvin (Arlene) Myers of St. Johns; Ernest (Rose Mary) Myers of Fowler; Grace (Leon) Thelen of Fowler and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Karen Myers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11:00a.m. at the Wildwood Mennonite Church that is located South of Middleton. Officiating will be Pastors Lyle Heaton and Clare Huyck with burial in the Payne Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Dodge Funeral Home, Middleton.
