Norma M. Bissell Lansing Age 86, passed away and went to join her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Norma was born November 27, 1926 in Lansing, Michigan to Gilbert and Margaret Hansen. She retired from Sears, going to work in the drapery department at Christmas time and leaving twenty years later. Norma was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. A member for many years at the Eagles Auxiliary #1039 and the Lansing Women of the Moose. She was an avid reader and loved crocheting as she had much of her work throughout the house. With her husband she enjoyed many seasons of Spartan football and basketball having season tickets in football for fifty years. Norma loved her many years of bowling and greatly missed having to give up golf. She loved to travel as they spent many Winter seasons in Bradenton, FL. She loved going dancing. Surviving is her loving husband of forty nine years, Larry; son, Cory (Traci) of Charlotte, MI; two blood step sons, Randy Kenroy and Ronald (Charly) Kenroy, both of Mason; sister, Arlene (Gene) Prentler of Mason, MI; brother, Gilbert Hansen of Palm Springs, CA; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel with Pastor Marty Debow officiating. Interment will follow in Wacousta Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends, Monday, July 9, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and then once again one hour prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions can be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church in memory of Norma. The family wish to express their sincere thanks for the tenderness and kindness towards Norma during her stay at Capital Area Rehab by the whole staff, nurses and nurses aides.
