Norman Ralph Wells Okemos Went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the age of 87. He was born to Fred and Letha (McRobert) Wells on August 21, 1925. Norman proudly served in Patton's Brigade of the US Army during WWII. He loved hunting/fishing and was a member of the Oldsmobile Outdoor Camping Club. Norman worked for and retired from General Motors in 1980. He was a longtime member of Holt Baptist Church and served as a Deacon and Trustee. Preceding him in death are his parents; sisters, Ruth Crapp, Rosemary Wells; and brother Arthur Wells. Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Joann Wells; sons Daniel (Jude) Wells, Richard (Teresa) Wells; grandchildren Jeremy (Kimberly) Wells, Shannon (Kevin) Damesworth, Michael Wells; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers Harold, Robert, Alan (Anne) Wells; sister-in-law, Lucille Wells and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 11:00 a.m. at Holt Baptist Church with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Barakel of Fairview, MI in memory of Norman.
