Pauline "Pat" A. Charron Howell Pauline "Pat" A. Charron, age 90, longtime Howell resident, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014. She was born July 6, 1923 in Maple Grove, MI, the daughter of Charles J. and Mary R. (Bitterman) Gross. Beloved wife of the late Donald Charron (7/7/2008) whom she had married in Lansing in 1955. Dear mother of William (Lois) Charron of Harrison, MI, Michelle Charron-Witt of Howell, David (Sharon) Charron of Lansing and de Chantal (David) Charron-Sturm of Williamston. Loving grandmother of Jill, Liesel, Kristin, Heidi, Gabrielle, Romaine, Xavier, Max and Renee; great-grandmother of six. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Mary Charron and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother and six sisters. Pat was employed by the Howell Public School System for many years; former member of Child Study Club, an avid gardener and nature lover. In retirement, she and Don spent many winters in Gulf Shores. Pat was the beloved matriarch of the Gross family and was proud of the centennial family farm where she was raised. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 E. Washington Street, Howell where Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, February 28 at 11 a.m. (in-state 10 a.m.).
