Richard Robbins Obituary

Richard Lee Robbins Eaton Rapids Age 67, passed away at his home, October 10, 2009, surrounded by his family. He was born in Eaton Rapids, March 27, 1942, the son of William and Norma (Hudson) Robbins. He attended Eastern High School. Richard was a US Navy veteran and served his country from 1960-1966. He worked as a mechanic for several dealerships in the area. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and gun collecting, especially flint locks. He was a hunter safety instructor, a member of the NMLRA, the Eaton Rapids Conservation Club and a member of the Three Fires. Richard is survived by his wife Shirley (Kelly) Robbins; sons, Ronald (Bianca) Robbins of Germany, Paul Robbins of Eaton Rapids, Brian Robbins of Chicago; mother, Norma Grace Hudson-Walters of Kalamazoo; brothers Howard (Barb) Robbins, Randy (Yolanda) Johnson, Leroy (Diane) Johnson, Mike (Sandy) Johnson; a special thank you to his "brothers" Dean Mills, Dan Teigeler and Hospice Advantage. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Leon Robbins. There will be a memorial service luncheon, 2 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Eaton Rapids Conservation Club, 4700 Freeman Rd. Eaton Rapids, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Advantage, 800 S. Waverly, Lansing, MI. 48917 or to the wishes of the family.

Shirley,
I send my very deepest sympathies to you and the rest of the family.
I knew the last time I seen Richard, that he was not in too good of health.
Lot's of memories that span back to Cleveland St.
