Grandpa was always one to indulge everyone with anything he could- he was always early to visit when there was a new baby, and came everyday to "pat him on the pooper" or hold and feed the baby and tell him he would get "big and fat like Grandpa." He and Grandma always indulged the kids with fresh peanut butter fudge, souvenirs from Mexico, food from his pantry, and toys from the garage sales! He indulged us with his time: He never missed a birthday party, a cookout, a holiday gathering, working at our own garage sales for us, a wedding (the Gorden Men dance a mean "Wipe-Out"), baptism, sports activity, etc., and especially the kids' band/music concerts and recitals...he was the one everyone noticed in the audience because he expressed his enthusiasm so well! He and Troy were fun to watch together-always full of B.S. and always thinking of a comeback, and Grandpa always had the best comebacks! Grandpa always wanted to give of himself and his resources, whether they be time or money, and could have easily been taken advantage of as he never expected anything in return-which had a tendency to spoil everyone. He carried his heart on his sleeve for his family, and I so appreciate having had him for my Grandpa.

"Nobodies home" as the door closes in our face. Years of missing candy on Haloween night at grandpa and grandmas house. You singing Chattanooga Shoe Shine Boy and the Billboard song. All of the childhood nicknames. The good bye kiss that always seemed to leave you out of breath and making funny noises. And the worries of growing up to be "big and fat like grandpa" as you would say. Thank you for always being there to help when we needed you. I will miss you but thank you for all of the memories that will always put a smile on my face. Troy P.S. We all know the Duke never had cowboy boots with zippers in them !

Barb and I have many fond memories of Bob and Betty while visiting my folks in Magnolia Park in Texas and times together here in Michigan. My folks (Ken and Gerry Fuller) enjoyed many years of great friendship with Bob and Betty. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Dan and Barb Fuller (Grand Ledge)
