Roger Kuhlman Obituary

Dr. Roger L. Kuhlman Grand Ledge Age 76, passed away October 3, 2009. He was born March 25, 1933 in Montepelier, OH to the late Kenneth and Ethel (Young) Kuhlman. He graduated from Ohio State School of Optometry, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was active in the Michigan Optometric Assoc., Michigan Medical Advisory Board, and was Vision Consultant for the Michigan State Police. He also held a private pilot's license. He was founding president of the Grand Ledge Area Chamber of Commerce, member of G.L. Lion's Club, and Michigan and International Doctors in AA. To help others through medical research, he has donated his body to the MSU Medical School. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Klar; children: Gretchen Kuhlman, Fritz Kuhlman, and Julie (Ran) Rabinovitz; grandson, Noam; sister, Ethelyn (Hobert) Krouse; sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Thomas) Foster and Karen Hopkins. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2009, 11:00 am at the Grand Ledge Opera House. Memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice or Salvation Army.
