Rosalie Nerdrum Obituary

Rosalie F. Nerdrum Lansing Age 91 passed away, Sunday, August 15, 2010 in Lansing, MI. She was born January 1, 1919 in Eveleth, MN to Nickolas and Manda Bailen. Rosalie was a decorated Captain in the United States Army during WWII, serving as a Registered Nurse in the European, African, Middle Eastern Campaignes. She was also a member of St. Mary Cathedral, co-owner and operator of Precision Optical with her husband Alfred, and took great pride in training and showing her Arabian horses. Rosalie is survived by a step-son, Bradley Carroll of Orlando, FL; a grandson, Anthony Gmazel of Orlando, FL; special friends and caregivers, Karla & Tim Reilly; and Sandy & Gary Broyles; and also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 years Alfred Nerdrum; and 6 siblings. The funeral Mass for Rosalie Nerdrum will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the St. Mary Cathedral with Fr. Jeffrey Njus as Celebrant, entombment will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. There will be a visitation Tuesday, one hour prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mother Teresa House or to St. Mary Cathedral. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel
