Rosella T. Bohr Obituary
Rosella T. Bohr Lansing Age 93, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013. Rosella was born on the family farm in Westphalia, MI on November 11, 1919, the daughter of John and Martha (Fedewa) Bohr. She retired from the State of Michigan Highway Dept. and enjoyed working at the Diocean Archives. Rosella was a devoted, faithful member of St. Mary Cathedral and the Catholic Women's Association. She loved traveling, visiting many European destinations. She especially loved her summers at the cottage on Crystal Lake. Rosella was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Romilda (Clarence) Manning, Mary Ann (Giles) Wieber and Dorothy (John) Schrauben; brother-in-law, Bruce Anderson. Surviving are her sisters, Joan M. Bohr and Adelaide Anderson; many thoughtful, loving nieces and nephews that adored her. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Cathedral with Mgsr. Bernard Reilly as celebrant. Interment will be with her parents in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia, MI. The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel and Saturday from 9:00 am until service time at the church. A rosary will be prayed Friday evening beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Cathedral or a in memory of Rosella Bohr. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Sparrow Hospital, 7th floor cardiac care, for their compassionate care given to Rosella during her stay.
