Rowland Perry Obituary

Rowland K. Perry Charlotte Age 71 passed away on Friday, August 6, 2010. Rowland was born Feb. 3, 1939 in Charlotte, the son of Lawrence and Genevieve (Hooper) Perry and was a lifelong Charlotte area resident. He was a Graduate of Charlotte High School and had served in the U. S. Army from 1962-64. He had been employed at the former A. E./Hoover Co. and later at the Bradford-White Co. from where he retired in 2001. He was a member of the Eaton County Buck Club and the Charlotte American Legion Post #42. Surviving are: his wife of 50 years, Marilyn (Davidson) Perry; 2 daughters, Vickie (Doug) Blattner of Charlotte and Amee (Darrin) King of Grand Ledge; 4 grandchildren, Tyler & Jessica Cwiek and Kyle and Evan King; Special grandsons, Chad & Cody Reichard; his brother, Neil (Lana) Perry of Charlotte and special cousins, Dean and Esther Shrontz. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2010 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Philip Hobson officiating. Interment will be in the West Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to the Eaton Community Hospice in Charlotte.
