Ruben M. Gomez

Ruben M. Gomez Lansing Born August 8, 1954, remained asleep, September 7, 2009. Preceded in death by his father, Julian Gomez, Sr.; brother, Eugene, and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother, brother, 2 sisters, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will now and forever be the angel to watch over us, as he is finally at peace, after his 3 year battle with cancer. He will be watching over a loving and devoted family consisting of a wife of 37 years, Veda; 3 children, Jessica (Scott) Finch, Antonio (Carmen) Gomez and Michael (Andrea) Gomez; 12 grandchildren, Jourdin, Scottie, Julian, Tiarra, Johnny, Alexxus, Carlito, Abrianna, Gabriela, Mikey, Aliyah and Donnie; cousin, Lola; nephew, Robert; close friends, Ron, Simmie, Durstin and Harold. The love of his life was his family and fishing- not necessarily in that order. He was a great friend to all and many and would give the shirt off his back to a perfect stranger. He was always ready and willing to help all in need no matter what the cost or time of day. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Remember the happy times to help us keep his memory alive. A Memorial service will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel with John Herrera officiating.
