Ruby Bowerman Obituary

Ruby (Hanson) E. Bowerman Springfield, MO Ruby E. (Hanson) Bowerman, 80 of Springfield, formerly of Lansing, MI, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010. She was born on June 7, 1929, in Alma Center, Wisconsin. She graduated from Alma Center School (K-12), and attended three years at North Central Bible College, one year at Minneapolis Nursing School and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from Eau Claire University and her Master of Arts from Northern Michigan University. Ruby was a school teacher, wife and mother. She married Allen J. Bowerman on August 4, 1962, in Alma Center, WI. Ruby attended Evangel Temple Assemblies of God Church and was a member of the Evangel University Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer camp counselor and did church service and leadership. She enjoyed reading, photography, family and traveling. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Esther; brothers, Melvin, Edward, Arnold, David; and sister, Ruth. She is survived by her husband, Allen Bowerman; children, Kevin and Christie Bowerman, Karen Bowerman; three grandchildren, Daniel, Benjamin, Adeline Bowerman; brothers, Donald, Clifford and Clarence; sisters, Esther, Eunice, Ethel and Bonnie; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Visitation and funeral services were held in Springfield, Missouri. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Gideons International, PO Box 4221, Springfield, Missouri 65808.
