Dear Radway family,
My mother Bea Richards and I would like to express our sympathy to you all. Mother ate with Sophie at the Marquette and was her roommade at the Dobie rehab and of course was a long time Lansing friend. I spent lots of time with her and really felt close to her and we talked a lot about Lansing and things going on.. I was so shocked to hear of her death, and would have been at the funeral but had left early that morning without reading the paper and just found out too late when I got home and my mom had left a message for me... She had a great life story and was so proud of you all... With Love Susan Brewster

To the Radway family....I have known Sophie for 18 years since I became an employee of Paramount Coffee. I remember all the small appliances she would bring in for the guys out in the Service Department to try and fix and the big car she use to drive! I believe it was finally at the age of 90 or more when she decided it was time for her to stop driving. It was always a pleasure to see her at the luncheons and parties here at work and she would tell us "I'm the original Radway". What a wonderful person to have known, a real class act and she will be truly missed.
Peace to all of you...Debbie Cornell
