Thomas Daniel Scallen

Thomas Daniel Scallen Dimondale Born February 26, 1968 in Evanston, IL, passed away unexpectedly, after a short battle with pneumonia, on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Tom graduated from Detroit Catholic Central in 1986. He attended Western Michigan University where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in 1990. He was currently employed with the Speedway Corporation. He was a loving husband and father who had enormous compassion for people. A wonderful sense of humor permeated his entire life. He is survived by his wife, Theresa, a son Daniel, his parents: Daniel and Alice Scallen, father and mother in law: Richard and Carla Coats, a sister, Mary Elizabeth Scallen, a brother, James P. Scallen and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30a.m. at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Klein and Rev. Fr. Joseph Mallia as co-celebrants. Visitation is Sunday 4-6p.m. and Monday 6-8p.m. at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Holt-Delhi Chapel, 5035 Holt Road.
