Thomas Sutphen Jr.

Thomas Sutphen Jr. Howard City Thomas Sutphen Jr. age 68, passed away Oct. 13, at his residence. He was born Feb 10, 1942 in Lansing the son of Thomas and June ( Mulkins ) Sutphen. During his working years he worked for Sears in the appliance repair division for 21 years as well as owning T & L Repair for 15 years. Tom Served his country in the US Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Stanton, The Moose Lodge in Lansing # 288, past president of the Mason -Holy Eagles and a member of the Stanwood Eagles. Tom loved golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. In 1968 he married Mary Lou ( Michaud ) who survives also surviving is his mother June Stuphen of Howard City. His children James ( Dorothy ) Sutphen of Nebraska, Brenda (Rodney ) Dilts of Maryland, Cindy (David) Thuma of Lansing; 8 grandchildren; sister Carol ( Robert ) Goetsch of Howard City and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Heckman Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Brillhart officiating with Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. and prior to services on Monday
