Virginia Wright Obituary

Virginia A. Wright Roscommon Born September 29, 1917 to the late Monroe and Ruby Salisbury; Virginia A. Wright passed away June 10, 2010 at the age of 92. She was a resident of the Lansing area for most of her life. Virginia retired from East Lansing Public Schools as the Secretary to the Superintendant. She was a former employee of the Central Trust Co., State of Michigan Banking Department, and Bank of Lansing. She was a member of the Vivian Society of the Elks. Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hayden. She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Bill) Root of Roscommon; son Jon (Amy) Wright of South Bend, IN; and grandchildren Katy Wright, Christopher Root, and Susan Root. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 14, 2010 at 1:00 in the afternoon at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 218 S. Mitchell St., Cadillac, MI 49601 in memory of Virginia. Online condolences may be made at www.gorslineruncimaneastlansing.com
