Dear Billy, Susan, Nancy and Pat:
When Peggy and I saw the Record Eagle notice of Ginny's death I knew I had to write to express our sadness and sympathy. I'll never forget the wonderful Hanel family members that I had the pleasure to know in Okemos. Billy and Ginny's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren have to be the best.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ginny Hanel. I recognized her picture as the sweet, little lady who trained me to be a volunteer in the Sparrow Hospital Emergency room. I then recognized the name of her daughter, Nancy Elwood, as a fellow member on the Community Foundation Board. I mentioned it to my husband, Tom Amiss, (son of Willard & Beulah) and he said he grew up next to the Hanels on Roselawn in East Lansing. Tom was your paperboy. We are sorry for your loss.

Dear Sue and Family,
I was sad to read the obit for your mother in the TC Record-Eagle. She was a wonderful steward for the community of East Lansing and will be missed by all who knew her and and benefited by her good works.
Blessings to you at this difficult time.
