Virginia Cannarile Lansing Age 87, Virginia went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 29, 2012. She joined her husband to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary today. She was born in Lansing, Michigan to Mary and Melvin Blair. She married John Cannarile on July 29, 1942 and they celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing in 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; two infant children, Margie and Chuckie; her parents; and her brother, Lester. She is survived by her sons, Tom (Ellen) Cannarile and Frank (Jennifer) Cannarile; daughters, Jean McCain and Susie (Mark) Pulte; grandchildren, Tim, Tony, Dan, Benjamin, Kristine, Andrew, Jessica and Johnathan; 12 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Virginia is also survived by siblings, Eugene (Doris) Blair, Church (Rita) Blair Donna (Harold-deceased) Johnson, and sister-in-law, Janie Blair; and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed watching her favorite television and sports and going to dinner with her family anywhere. She enjoyed nightly chats with her loving sister, Donna. She was proud to be a five generation family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother to her whole family. She will be greatly missed. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 1, 2012, 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with Rev. Fr. John Byers as celebrant. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, where a rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm.
