William Dargan Obituary

William J. Dargan Lansing Age 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 27, 2010 with family by his side. William was born in Lansing, the son of the late William J. and Josephine (Bishop) Dargan. He served his country with the U. S. Navy on the U.S.S. Lang and was a lifetime member of VFW #701. William retired from B.O.C. (Oldsmobile) after 30 years of service, was the 1st Open Heart patient at Sparrow Hospital and loved a good bargain attending garage sales. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Doris; children, Sheila Richards, Janet (Mike) Cox, JoEllen (Tony Zuniga) Dargan and Daniel (Laurie) Dargan; 12 grandchildren, Steve (Vonnie) Richards, Cheryl Richards, Amy (Jerry) Shafor, Joshua (Kandi) Lannen, Danielle Lannen, Rachel Lannen, Lehann (Cory) Scott, Melissa (Alan) Coppock, Aaron (Kami) Riggs, Brent Riggs, Nicole (Saeid Zeineh) Dargan and Justin Dargan; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pat Bundy and Kathleen Webber. The Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday, 1:30 p.m., at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel with Rev. Fr. Bill Lugger of St. Casimir Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Dimondale. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in memory of William Dargan. Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.palmerbush.com

In My Pocket
