William Leland Webb

William Leland Webb Mecosta William Leland Webb, 80, went to be with his Heavenly Father after an operation for stomach cancer January 13, 2010, in Mesa, Arizona. He was born January 5, 1930, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Frederick and Ethel Webb. Surviving are his wife, Susanne, of 57 years, and two sons, Larry L. (Cathie) Webb of Lansing and Lindsey L. (Cissie) Webb of Paris, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Shannon N. (Frankie) Bence, Jeremy J. Webb, ShaeLind Webb and William C. (Michaele) Webb; two great-grandchildren, Nathan T. Bence and Savannah L.L. Bence William was preceded in death by his parents. He moved to Horsehead Lake in 1988 after retiring from the Lansing School District. While with the District, he was a teacher at Christiancy St. School, a principal at Cedar St. and Pleasant Grove Schools, Director of Pupil Personnel and Asst. Superintendent for Instruction. While in Lansing he was a member of South Baptist Church and was currently a member of Weidman Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, taught the Adult Sunday School Class, sang in the choir and was a member of the ToneChime Choir. A memorial Service will be held at the Weidman Baptist Church, 7555 W. Airline Rd., Wiedman, MI 48893, on May 22, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be sent to William L.
