William Taber Obituary

William M. Taber Lansing Age 84, died September 23, 2009. Born May 10, 1925 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Claude M. and Beulah (Berkhousen) Taber. He was a WWII Navy Veteran (Pacific theater) with service at Iwo Jima and an Oldsmobile retiree and long time Lansing Schools bus driver. Survivors include his wife, Ellen; sons, William (Diane) and Alan (Sara); grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan (Sarah); 4 great-grandchildren; step-children, Doug (Diane), Jim and Linda Wylie; 7 sisters; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Marice (Perry); and 2 sisters. Memorial service will be held on October 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church 517 W. Jolly Rd. Lansing, MI. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan 1210 West Saginaw Lansing, Michigan 48915. The family is being served by Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home.
