Mary Lou "Mate" Ankney Holt Age 82, Mary Lou went to be with her Lord on March 14, 2010. She was born on July 12, 1927 to Richard and Merle (Stevens) Callender. Mate was an accomplished musician, playing most any instrument well. She was also a skilled athlete and at age 17 was invited to play professional baseball. Her passion was fishing at her summer home in Remus, MI. Mate is survived by Harley, her loving husband of 64 years; daughters, Sally (John) Hughes and Jane (Kevin) Bauer; son, Richard; granddaughters, Jennifer (Brian) Stiles, Jennifer (Mark) Fergason, Janie (John) Maddox and Kalyn Bauer; grandsons, John Hughes and Kevin Bauer; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson, Mason, MI with the Reverend Charles Krueger officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday, one hour prior to the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Eaton Community Hospice, 2675 S.
