Robert "Bob" E. Smith Lansing On Monday, January 27, 2014, our Father provided Robert "Bob" E. Smith the healing and comfort for which he has been waiting so long. Bob was born August 22, 1951 in Lansing, Michigan. He was employed at Clark Foundation for 22 years. Bob also retired from the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed his time outdoors, golfing, fishing, and camping. Bob was a generous and compassionate man. He was also known for his feisty sense of humor, even in the midst of life's struggles and challenges. He loved sports, including NASCAR and most of all he loved his Michigan Wolverines, "Go Blue!" Nothing brought Bob greater joy than spending time with family, especially his children and grandchildren. Bob is survived by his children, Michigan Assistant Attorney General Jarrod T. (Tracy) Smith of Lansing, Michigan and Behavior Analyst April M. Smith of Windsor, California; grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler, and Toby; siblings, Glen (Diane) Smith, Kevin (Kim) Smith, Kenneth (Julie) Smith, and Pamela (Richard) Dragisic; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. The family will receive friends for visitation two hours prior to the service at the Lansing Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 1475 E.
