James W. Chamblee East Lansing James W. Chamblee, born to Louie and Willie (Marshall) Chamblee, passed away on February 11, 2014 at the age of 82. Jim always had a smile and "Hello" for everyone; a positive attitude, even with his disabilities resulting from polio. It did not stop him from being student body president and manager of the football team at Hemet High School, CA and graduated Orange Coast University, CA with a degree in Industrial Chemistry. He worked at Kaiser Steel in Eagle Mountain, CA and for Beatrice Co. in Bolivar, TN for several years. Mr. Chamblee was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Grady; grandson, Kenneth; and wives, Jackie, Vadene and Clovis. James is survived by his wife, Irene (Pynnonen) Chamblee, daughter, Barbara (Thomas) Saghy, and son, Robert (Brandy) Chamblee. Also surviving to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Nicole, Shari, Heather, Brook, Ryan, Shannon, James, Christina, Brian, and Cameron and many great grandchildren. The family would like to thank McLaren staff ER, 6 South ICU, Dr. Woltmann and his staff, and Independence Village staff for the compassion and caring of Daddy. Daddy, you will be missed so much. You were our rock. Per Mr. Chamblee's wishes, there will be no services and cremation has already taken place. Those desiring may make contributions to Roger Springs Church of Christ, 335 Old Roger Springs Road, Middleton, TN 38052. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing.
