Bert Kent, Jr. Haslett Bert Kent, Jr. was born on July 27, 1919 in Lansing the son of the late Bert and Edna Kent and passed away on February 25, 2014 at the age of 94. He was a lifelong resident of Haslett and retired from sales at Copco Papers. He served our country in the US Army during WW II and received many medals and commendations: the Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, South Philippines (Liberation) Ribbon, a Bronze Star, and the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Service Medal. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Clara and daughter in law, Tamara Kent. Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Susan (John) O'Connor; sons, Warren (Lynne) and Barry Kent; and eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
