Donald was born on June 15, 1945 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Clarence and Beatrice Williams and passed away March 18, 2014 at the age of 68. Donald was a graduate of MSU, receiving both his Bachelor of Arts in Education and his Masters Plus in Administration. He taught for over 35 years in the Lansing School District.
Donald was a gifted teacher, devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Don and his wife, Nancy, were married for over 43 years. He enjoyed skiing, hiking, biking, golf, and tennis. Don taught Sunday School and led Bible studies for many years.
Don is survived by his wife Nancy; daughter, Sarah (John) Crowell of Olivet; sons, Jason (Sarah) Williams of Eaton Rapids and Nathan Williams of Holt. He is also survived by one grandchild, Gracin Adele Crowell; sisters, Patricia Attebury of Indianapolis, IN and Bonnie Gragg of Gainesville, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Williams.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Church, 3355 Dunckel Rd., Lansing with the Rev. Royce Allen officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:30 prior to the service at the church.
