Merrill Rudolph Williams joined his beloved wife Cecilia in heaven on March 19, 2014.
He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Merrill and Ethel on April 26, 1927.
Merrill served his country in the Merchant Marines. He later retired from Motor Wheel after forty-one years of service. Merrill enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid golfer. He had a passion for music and was active in the local country music scene in the 1950's. He was a gifted musician who played with many local bands in different venues throughout Lansing. Merrill was also an active member of the Moose and VFW.
Merrill was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, four brothers, step-son Michael Babcock, grandson Jeffrey McCrimmon, great grandson, Eric Hauser.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sharon (Ron) McCrimmon of Charlotte, Michigan, Vicky Christeson of Lansing and a son Jon (Julie) of Perry, Michigan. Merrill is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren with number 19 arriving in July.
A memorial service for Merrill will be held on May 3, 2014, 11am, at Catholic Community of St. Jude, DeWitt, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
