Norbert C. Wrubel of Grand Ledge, formerly of Ashland, Kentucky a loving father, grandfather and friend passed away April 17, 2014 surrounded by family. Norbert was born May 23, 1930 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Albert and Stella (Witczak) Wrubel. He was a Korean War Army Veteran and worked as a food service manager.  

He is survived by children, Bernie (Barb), Marianne Wrubel, Mike (Debbie), Dan (Genie), Rosie (Ed) Glockner, Teresa (Jeff) Prior and Chris (Veronica); grandchildren, Sara (Matt) Oaks, Jennifer Wrubel, Amanda (D.C.) Faulkner, Jeremy (Tracy) Wrubel, Josh (Jennifer) Wrubel, Curtis (Manda Bennett) Wrubel, Sean Wrubel, Keith Wrubel, Lisa (Dustin) Hale, Matt (Ashley Crace) Glockner, Len Glockner, Kara (Joe) Eastman and Jamie Wrubel, Tyler Whitney, Andrew Whitney, Joseph Wrubel, Madeline Wrubel, Lillian Wrubel, and  6 great grandchildren. Norbert was preceded in death by wife, Carmela Reynolds Wrubel on August 16, 2001; sons, David and Christopher John Wrubel; brother, Edward Wrubel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by The Reverend Fr. James Eisele on Monday, April 21, 2014, 11:30am at St. Michael Catholic Church, Grand Ledge. Rite of Committal with military honors will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Grand Rapids. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:30am until the time of the mass at 11:30am.
